Assigning Resources to Roles

This page is only visible to organization administrators.

After creating a role, assign cloud resources to it. Users in the role will be able to whitelist their IP on those resources when they start sessions.

Assigning a Resource​

Navigate to Roles under the Admin section in the sidebar.

  1. Click a role row to expand it.
  2. In the Resources section, use the Add resource... dropdown.
  3. Select a resource from the list.

The resource appears in the role's resource list immediately.

Removing a Resource​

  1. Click a role row to expand it.
  2. In the Resources section, click Remove next to the resource you want to unassign.

The resource is removed from the role. Users in this role will no longer be able to whitelist their IP on that resource.

Removing a resource from a role does not affect currently active sessions. Existing IP rules stay in place until the session expires or is stopped.
