Assigning Users to Roles

This page is only visible to organization administrators.

Assign users to roles to grant them access to the role's resources.

Assigning a User

Navigate to Roles under the Admin section in the sidebar.

  1. Click a role row to expand it.
  2. In the Users section, use the Add user... dropdown.
  3. Select a user from the list.

The user appears in the role's user list and can immediately start sessions for the role's resources.

Removing a User

  1. Click a role row to expand it.
  2. In the Users section, click Remove next to the user you want to unassign.

The user loses access to the role's resources (unless they have access via another role or a direct assignment).

Permission Effects

When a user is assigned to a role:

  • They can start sessions for all resources in that role
  • They inherit the role's max session duration (if configured)
  • If a user has multiple roles, the most permissive session duration applies
